Code of Conduct

Explore Social is a program that prides itself on inclusivity, integrity, professionalism and privacy. As a client of Explore Social, you are expected to adhere to the following codes of conduct. If there are any questions regarding this code of conduct, please reach out to Jess or Louella.

Behaviour at Explore Social

While different clients experience different behaviours, Explore Social does not accept any form of bullying, discrimination, harassment or gossip between clients. If you feel you are being treated in a way that makes you feel upset or uncomfortable by either clients or staff members please bring it to the attention of Jess or Louella immediately. Explore Social is a program that promotes inclusivity of all, so we want everyone to feel welcome and safe during activities.

Gossip is an unacceptable form of bullying at Explore Social. Talking about other clients in a negative way is another form of bullying. If you have an issue with a client or staff member at Explore Social, you are encouraged to talk to either Jess or Louella. This can be done via email or if you wish, a face to face meeting to help resolve the issue.

Work Health and Safety

At Explore Social, we believe that the well-being of our clients and staff members is a priority and must be considered during all activities at Explore Social. If you have injured yourself or feel unwell while attending an activity with Explore Social, please inform staff immediately.

Mobile Phones

Mobile phones are a great way to keep in contact with your mates while you’re not on activities. However, some clients may feel overwhelmed with contact during activities as well as on their personal phones. If you have exchanged numbers with another client of Explore Social we ask that you respect their boundaries and privacy.

Money

Clients of Explore Social are expected to pay for their own activities and food with their own money. If you find that you are unable to pay for these, please speak to staff. Clients are discouraged from asking other clients to borrow money.

Events outside of Explore Social

As much as we love our clients to socialise outside of Explore Social and we understand that clients organise events outside of Explore Social however, we remind clients that this is not Explore Social’s responsibility to promote their event and/or encourage others to attend.

Social Media

Personal social media accounts are a great way to socialise and keep in contact with other clients and friends while not attending an activity with Explore Social. However, please be aware of the following guidelines when utilising social media while out on activities with Explore Social:

  • Gain consent from any other client or staff member who may appear in any photo or video you would like to post to social media
